Dog day on the bourse

THE market lost much of its shine today, following a poor show on Wall Street and mixed trading on the London Metals Exchange. While precious metals dithered, sending gold stocks south, mounting speculation of a resolution to iron ore price issues shone a small ray of hope in an otherwise unimpressive day on the market.
