Rio streamlines Alcan

MINING major Rio Tinto is streamlining its aluminium product group into a new unit and is looking to divest seven of its non-core assets, including the Gove bauxite mine and alumina refinery and the Boyne, Tomago and Bell Bay smelters in Australia.
