AngloGold profits sinks

HEAVYWEIGHT AngloGold Ashanti has been crippled by strike action at its South African operations, with earnings for the September quarter slipping almost 50% to $US235 million ($A225 million), leaving the company unable to predict its production and cost guidance for the fourth quarter.
