Mixed day for miners

LOCAL shares moved lower today, while gold stocks continued to be the standout.

The S&P/ASX 200 fell 109 points or 1.8% in a lacklustre day of trading, with miners joining most other market segments in the red. BHP Billiton fell 1.2% to $A32.04 and Rio Tinto dropped 1.7% to $57.71....
