Looking good for zinc plays

THERE could be some good times ahead for zinc plays, with international bank BNP Paribas noting that the London Metal Exchange’s stockpile has shrunk slightly from 96,650 tonnes a month ago to 90,575t. The bank commented that prices could reach the $US4200 per tonne mark like it did so late last year when stockpiles were low. However, it could take some time for zinc equities to catch up, given the market’s recent volatility.
