HALF of the nickel stocks appeared to succumb to a round of profit-taking, following in the steps of mining giants BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto, with those in the red doing so after taking a stroll on the greener side of the bourse. Both spot and three-month nickel again record fresh highs on the London Metal Exchange overnight, with spot nickel settling at $US46,725 per tonne and the three-month price at $US43,800/t.
