Gold plays mixed

SPOT gold was trading $US7.50 higher at $752.4 an ounce at 4pm EST, after hitting an 11-month low of $736.30/oz overnight. Newcrest Mining added 90c to $19.50, Lihir Gold gained 8c to $1.35, while Sino Gold shed 17c to $2.98 and Newmont Mining fell 8c to $4.64.
