GOLD stocks on the <i>Final Call</i> watchlist soared higher today after the precious metal rallied to a three-month high before closing overnight at $US978.80 an ounce. Newcrest Mining jumped 7.7% to close at $A31.85, Lihir Gold soared 7.2% to $2.98, Sino Gold Mining gained 10.7% to $6.94, while Newmont Mining rocketed 10.5% to $5.47.
