Noranda, Falconbridge to buy Lomas Bayas copper operation

CANADIAN miners Noranda and Falconbridge said today they have signed a letter of intent to purchase Boliden's interests in the owners of the Lomas Bayas SX-EW copper project and adjacent Fortuna de Cobre copper deposit in Chile.
