Ivanhoe begins production at Kazakhstan mine

IVANHOE Mines has kicked-off gold production at its Bakyrchik mine in north-eastern Kazakhstan, pouring the first 4.2kg gold dore bar on October 31 - the first gold produced at Bakyrchik since 1996, when Ivanhoe took a stake in the mine.
