KPMG: Fraud an increasing problem for resources industry

FRAUD and its attendant financial burden is an increasing problem for Australian and New Zealand business and the resources sector is no exception according to KPMG’s Fraud Survey 2002. Results for the industry pointed to a need for tighter internal controls, particularly in the area of inventory and plant equipment.
