Thalanga produced a record 2696 tonnes of copper, up from 2310t in the previous quarter.
Red River attributed the improvement to an increase in copper grade milled to 1% and record recoveries of 84.7%.
Thalanga also produced 4544t of zinc, up from 4310t, and 1133t of lead, up from 1117t in the March quarter.
Red River also processed a parcel of historical gold-rich tailings from its Liontown project during the quarter, which produced about 600t of gold concentrate containing 1300 ounces of gold on an unreconciled basis.
The company has been building its gold exposure by acquiring the Hillgrove mine in New South Wales, and has increased its landholding around Thalanga.
Shares in Red River jumped nearly 13% to A10.5c, the highest since February. The copper price hit a 2020 high of US$6300 per tonne overnight.
