8/6 FIFO Perth Open Pit mine with genuine potential to transition Underground

Our client is a successful Australian mining company with a number of operating mines in WA. They are seeking to appoint an appropriately experienced and capable Mining Manager for their flagship Open Pit operation.

Reporting to the General Manager and deputising for him in his absence, you will be responsible for managing the Open Pit operation and providing leadership to the operational and technical services teams. Forming part of the Site Senior Leadership team, you will also play a key role in the management of the site strategic direction for the operation, including the identification and prioritisation of future ore sources for the mine. With a significant inventory of potential Underground resources, it is highly likely that an Underground mine will be commenced at the operation to compliment the Open Pit mine(s).

We require an experienced Mining Manager with a demonstrated track record of strong leadership and communications skills, together with the potential to progress your career to the position of General Manager.
Your experience will include at the minimum, the management of Open Pit gold mines in Australia. Additional experience working in a senior leadership role within an Underground mining environment and the possession of a WA first Class Mine Managers Certificate would be highly advantageous.
